What started out as a normal Saturday fundraiser cornhole tournament, quickly changed when we arrived.  When looking around for a set of boards to start practicing on, we quickly noticed that this was not going to be your everyday cornhole tournament.  This event had brought out out many of the top players in the country.  Many of which traveled 4 or more hours to get there. Just to name a few The King, Matt Guy and his side kick Randy Atha, Brent Ellis from Indy, Mike Schaeffer and Brandon Hill.  Along with Matt Strazala, Ron Kugal and Gary Lewis, Jeff  Reynolds and at least a dozen more top players that can beat you on any given day.  Along with the tough competition came the tough conditions.  Several days of rain prior to the event made the directors have to move the boards from the only flat area on the Courthouse lawn, to the front of the building which has a pretty step slant to it. In a best 2 out of 3 winners bracket, many games came down to a coin flip to see who would be pitching up rather than down.  What started out as a cold morning quickly turned into a nice afternoon for a fundraiser where 64 teams battled for the top prizes. By the end of the day the top 3 teams were.
