Bag Toss by the Beach #3 presented by the Cornhole Cartel May 7th, held at the American Legion post 99 in Seaside, Oregon.

With a mix of new tournament attendees, savvy veterans, and weekend warriors there was some great competition Saturday afternoon. With the likes of Chris Causely, Ken Wolfe, Kelley Keightley and Brianna Malcolm vying for the blind draw double elimination tournament victory. It all came down to the draw, with Chris Causeley drawing newcomer Leslie Lammie, Ken Wolfe drawing previous winner Chad Smith, Kelley Keightley was awarded newcomer Matt big cat Carlson and Brianna Malcolm lucked out with Thomas a.k.a Horns Christensen. Chris  and rookie Leslie rolled through pool play as the only  undefeated team, the real challenge would come later on in double elimination. The team of Chris and Leslie started off hot winning their first two games 21-4, 21-4, and would meet their match in Kelly and Matt as they had snaked through the bracket winning games 21-7, 21-5, leading to the match-up with Chris and Leslie. The match started off tight, only to have Matt and Kelly heat up and pull out the victory 21-9. Chris and Leslie headed to the losers bracket to meet Thomas and Brianna in a barn burner with Chris and Leslie coming out on top 21-18 which resulted in a rematch with Matt and Kelly. With $200.00 going to the winning team, Chris and Leslie would have to win 2 out of 3 to take home the prize. Chris and Leslie came out blazing in game 1 with a 21-4 slaughter, game 2 started out close with Kelly and Matt leading early only to have Chris and Leslie come swinging back for a 21-11 win, taking home the tournament victory; splitting the $200.00 prize money. All in all a great tournament with a mix of old and new players .

Final results, 1st Chris Causley, Lesley Lammie 2nd Kelly Keightly, Matt Carlson, 3rd Thomas Christensen, Brianna Malcolm, 4th Ken Wolfe, Chad Smith. 

Until June 4th, tourney directors keep on trying, players keeps those bags flying.
